welcome To The One Thimble Blog
Whether it be for handmade items you sell, or gifts for loved ones, wrapping helps build anticipation and set the mood for the goodies that lie within. When a handmade gift is lovingly wrapped it helps express the effort you’ve gone to for that special someone. When wrapping items you sell, it is an opportunity to help you build your brand.
Think about what message you’re trying to send to the recipient and use that to guide your wrapping choices. Here are some ideas on ways you can create something extra special, and you might even want to get your kids involved.
Sandwich confetti between 2 sheets of cellophane and wrap!
MAKE A STATEMENT RIBBON
This is a good way to use up your fabric scraps!
Cut your fabric into strips then tie around your gift.
STAMP YOUR PAPER
This is a good one for getting the kids involved.
You can use Kraft letters as stamps or even carve a stamp from a potato.
MAKE A FABRIC GIFT BAG
Make a fabric gift bag by turning over a hem at the top then with RST sewing the other three sides. Tie with some fun trim and you’re done. Pretty and environmentally sound!
