welcome To The One Thimble Blog
It’s a full-on time of year here at One Thimble HQ, as I’m sure it is at your place, but before things completely wind down for the year I wanted to let you know about an opportunity to make your 2015 soar!
Planning for Issue 6 (Autumn Issue – February Release Date) & Issue 7 (Winter Issue – May Release Date) of One Thimble Digital Sewing Magazine has already started! We want each issue of One Thimble to introduce our readers to pattern designers & article writers they might not have come across before, which means ………….. we need you!
We’ve got a fabulous line-up of pattern designers for Issue 6 (all pattern spots for Issue 6 are now filled) but we still have a few spots for article writers for Issue 6 that we’re looking to fill.
We’re looking for articles on general interest topics (sewing related), techniques and tips and handmade business. So if you’re a sewing enthusiast with a desire to share your knowledge & passion with the world or a sewing or handmade blogger who’d like to connect with new readers we’d love to have you be part of Issue 6!
Planning for Issue 7 is still in the early stages, with spots for pattern designers as well as article writers available. If you are a pattern designer with an established business looking for new marketing opportunities or a new pattern designer looking to introduce your work to the pattern loving public then let us know!
One Thimble aims to inspire enthusiastic home sewists whether they’re sewing purely for pleasure or to make money. One Thimble aspires to be the “go to” resource for today’s sewing enthusiast, a resource that will help them discover new and new to them pattern designers, bloggers, teachers and business owners.

I’m hoping I get the opportunity to work with you in 2015!
The Pencil Pencil Case has been a popular teacher gift but if you’re like me and running out of time before the end of the school year you might have been dreaming of a simpler option . . .
Kate from Horris & Deedle has come to the rescue with a Pattern hack that changes the 3 skinny pencils to a one chunky pencil pencil case.
